How payment works
Every project starts with a free call. Then 50% deposit to begin and 50% on launch. If that doesn't suit your business, ask. Other terms can be arranged.
The site is yours outright. The monthly fee keeps it running, safe and up to date, and gets you a real person when something needs changing.
Changes beyond your monthly time are R650 an hour, quoted before any work starts.
Every build is set up to be found. These add-ons are ongoing work to win more local searches. We only offer them on sites we built, because the site and the SEO work together.
Across the market, a template or DIY site runs R1,500 to R5,000, a freelance custom build R8,000 to R25,000, and an agency build R40,000 and up. JLC Studio is a custom builder: R10,000 for Launch (up to 5 pages), R16,500 for Growth (up to 8), R24,000 for Authority (up to 12), and Bespoke from R38,000. We publish our prices so you know before you call.
Hosting, your domain, SSL, security updates, backups, uptime monitoring and small content changes: 30 minutes a month on Launch (R850), an hour on Growth (R1,250) and two hours on Authority (R1,750). Beyond that it's R650 an hour, quoted first. It isn't a licence fee. You own the site. The fee pays for upkeep and a real person to help.
Launch takes 2 to 3 weeks, Growth 3 to 4 and Authority 4 to 6, counted from the day your content is ready. Most delays come from waiting for words and photos, so gather those early.
Yes. The design, content, domain and data are yours, and if you ever move on, everything goes with you. Check this with any provider. Many South African "website subscription" deals keep ownership, so if you leave, you lose the site.
Yes. Every build includes an editing panel for the things you change: services, prices, photos and posts. It's easy to use on your phone, and there's no charge for changing your own prices.
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google's rankings. What we control is a fast site, a clean structure, strong local signals and pages that answer what your customers search for. That gives you the best chance. How quickly it works depends on your competition and your area.
